HOW TO MULTIPLY GRACE

2 Peter 1:2
"Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,"

Grace is the divine influence on the human spirit. It is also the outworking or outward reflection of power, glory; beauty, excellence, virtue, etc of our spirit.

An aspect of Grace (as already mentioned) is the fact that it is the divine enablement to do what God wants us to do and enjoy those things which He added to the package in Christ. Grace affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness, among others.

It is possible to be at peace even in this world we love in despite the havoc and trouble all over. Jesus Christ was not disturbed by the storm when He was sleeping in the boat. He had an assurance (through knowledge) that He would travel by sea, get to his destination and continue His ministry; teaching and performing miracles. That knowledge caused Him to be at peace.

There's the need for us to multiply God's grace upon our lives, as well as His peace that we have received. Bible teaches us how this is possible. Through the knowledge of God and of our Lord Jesus.

John 1:14
"And the Word was made flesh, ... full of grace and truth."

Jesus, who is the word made flesh was (or is) full of Grace. To know the word is to know Jesus. Bible reveals something marvellous in the book of Acts.

Acts 20:32
"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."

God's grace builds and empowers us. Knowledge of God's Word makes us candidates to enjoy God's grace and not necessarily through prayer. I'm yet to see a scripture that instructs us to pray for Grace. There's grace attached to every instruction God gives us. The more of God's word you've imbibed in your spirit, the more grace you have received. Notice I didn't say, "you will receive", rather, "you have received". This statement is worth pondering over.
