*IS PERFECTION POSSIBLE IN THIS AGE?*

_*For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2).*_

Mistakes prove that we are not perfect. We do err in many things and ways. Jesus told the Sadducees why this is so.

 Matthew 22:29
"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God."

'Knowing', in the verse above means 'to pay attention'. Paying attention to the scriptures has a way of preventing us from making mistakes. God's Word is powerful and alive and 'He' (the word) keeps us from errors.

A perfect person could be described as one who does not make mistakes and this is a possibility only by God's Word.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God,... That the man of God *may be perfect*, throughly furnished unto all good works."

We are perfected by the Word. He (God's Word) is perfect and makes anyone who gives Him attention same. God can only work I  perfecting us by His word and the word plays a vital role in this process.

The latter part of James 3:2 showa us how rhis is possible. The one who does not make errors in speech has a perfect personality as spelt out in the verse above. By this, I do not mean not making grammatical errors. Our words are mostly as a result of our thoughts which are also due to the information we feed on and these affect our manner of communication.

Is perfection possible in this age? I'd leave that question for you to answer.
God bless you.
